A Polished aluminum table by James Butchart for Trans World Airlines, 1970. A glass top rests on an abstract base that leans forward and contains one moderately sized drawer on the left side. Butchart designed this table specifically for an office in Trans World Airlines in New York; the aluminum is the same that was used in the production of the airplanes. He designed the office rooms and the furniture for the Airlines and was also in movie and television production designing furniture for several movies, including “Return of the Pink Panther” and “Superman”.
