A Mercury and Glycerin Kinetic Standing Sculpture, de la Puente, c. 1960. Mercury and glycerin are encased in Plexiglas rectangle and metal frame that is balanced on a metal stand that allows the encasement to be turned upside down whereupon the mercury melts into globs as it moves downward.
