Italy, c. 1939

A Pair of Large Sconces by Peitro Chiesa for the Teatro Nuovo, Parma, c. 1939. Finished in enameled brass each sconce is adorned with a “crown” pediment, an elongated tapered form that contains ten arms with “cup” lights, supported by a single arm that attaches to the wall.
