Philippe Starck is arguably the first industrial/interior designer to become a household name. His reputation is well deserved for his quirky domestic projects, for companies such as Alessi, as well as his interior decoration projects such as the Delanoe hotel in Miami and the Royalton in New York City. This post-modern mirrored room divider was custom designed for Ian Schrager’s New York residence in 2000.
The powerful physicality of this dramatic table is balanced by the tiles that cover the entire surface. Embossed in French in a playful font is a list of elements found in nature: light, bird, cloud, rose, morning, shore…Quentin was a multi-disciplinary artist where text was often a central element. Quentin's work is in the same spirit and generation as Line Vautrin.

Lamp with agate slice by Willy Daro, France c. 1970. Simple, elegant lamp by Daro shows off an impressive 9.5” high agate specimen set in a brass easel. Square shade newly covered in deep chocolate brown silk velvet. Agate specimen shows incredible translucence.

Fantastic set of nesting tables by Joubert et Petit, c.1930. Each table with flared, waterfall sides and a raised top. Lustrous hand rubbed brown/black lacquer shows beautiful patination, with red under painting showing through in areas. Structurally sound, these tables have acquired wonderful character over the years. Lacquer recently refreshed.
