Wanscher is one of the most highly-regarded and influential designers and educators in Denmark. Wanscher taught architecture at the illustrious Royal Academy of Art in Copenhagen for nearly two decades. He guided the careers of many of the most import Danish designers and published many influential texts. Wanscher was influenced by sources as diverse as ancient Egypt, the Vienna Secession and the traditional Danish tradition of cabinet making.

Beautiful hand painted dining table signed Mygge from France & Son. Single pedestal table with top lacquered in exuberant gold and cobalt flourishes on a predominantly green ground. Model number 630. Signed MYGGE within decoration, signed and numbered with France & Son label on underside.

Beautiful mahogany cabinet by Ole Wanscher, c.1940. Solid mahogany construction with original oiled finish. Two keyed doors over four keyed drawers offer incredible storage. Each side fitted with three adjustable shelves. All original brass hardware. Manufactured by A.J. Iversen. Documented in Grete Jalk, Dansk Møbelkunst Gennem 40 År, Copenhagen, 1987, Vol. 2, Pp. 170-171 for a similar example.
