Designed by Todd Merrill and created by hand using classic cabinet making techniques, this magnificent pair of bedside chests feature a solid oak dovetailed case covered in real eggshell using the ancient Japanese lacquerwork technique called Tamago No Kara lacquer. The eggshell applied over a custom color lacquer base creates a calcified super hard surface accentuated with solid round brass pulls. As with all Custom Originals pieces these chests have been inspired by the great American designers of the late 20th century and are produced with the highest standards available. These chests are available by order in the dimensions as shown or in any custom size required.

The sofas all on curved mahogany saber legs, each with low back and tight upholstered seat and back with brass nail head trim. The leather new in “parzinger blue.” The sofas demonstrate Parzinger’s early design aesthetic described in a 1938 review in the New York Times as “simple forms, modern because they are reduced to their simplest element, but graceful because of the delicately curved lines.” These sofas from the Rockefeller home in Tarrytown, New York are documented with Parzinger vanity and chair from the same period. The sofas all in perfect restored condition, one settee is a custom replica.
