A Pair of Large Sconces by Peitro Chiesa for the Teatro Nuovo, Parma, c. 1939. Finished in enameled brass each sconce is adorned with a “crown” pediment, an elongated tapered form that contains ten arms with “cup” lights, supported by a single arm that attaches to the wall.

Magnificent lantern form sconces by Pietro Chiesa for Fontana Arte, 1938.  Two ivory enameled cups each concealing a light source, and acting as a diffuser casts beautiful, soft illumination. All original glass, brass and enamel. Documented extensively in Fontana Arte Una Storia Trasparente by Falconi; variations on this design - pages 206, 207.
